Barbadians can put on those walking shoes again as the Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU) gears up for another one of its popular coastal walks.

On Saturday, July 21, walkers will journey along the coastline and cliff tops from the Bathsheba Community Centre in St. Joseph, from 3:00 p.m. on to Martin’s Bay, St. John.

Bus transportation will be provided from the CZMU car park on Bay Street, St. Michael, where participants are asked to meet for 1:45 p.m. as buses will leave at 2:00 p.m. sharp.

Participants are reminded that they should wear loose clothing and appropriate foot wear, such as hiking shoes or sneakers, suitable for walking through very rough terrain.

CZMU Director, Dr. Leo Brewster has advised: "This is a very challenging uphill walk, therefore, it is imperative that hiking shoes or sneakers with firm grip soles must be worn."??He also reminded walkers to bring additional fluids for the journey.

Anyone wearing inappropriate footwear, such as slippers, will not be allowed to board the bus.
