Government’s Coastal Zone and Management Unit (CZMU) will reveal the research findings from seven projects, tomorrow, Thursday, August 21, at its Internship Presentation Seminar. It begins at 1:30 p.m. in the CZMU’s conference room, Bay Street, St. Michael.

The Unit’s internship programme is intended to provide advanced students with some experience in conducting research projects and developing presentation skills, while gaining some practical know-how.

The presentations to be made by seven interns are: ‘Rapid Assessment of the Vulnerability of Coastal Areas to Beach Erosion’; ‘Establishment of Tide Gauges in Barbados’; ‘Analysis of Swell Events’; ‘Terms of Reference for a Spatial Data Infrastructure Programme for Barbados’; ‘Bridgetown Tsunami Modeling’; ‘Coastal Heritage Sites in Need of Greater Protection under the Physical Development Plan 2003’; and ‘The Acropora Inheritance Revisited.’
