Members of the public are invited to go online and share their views on a proposed coastal infrastructure project in the Rockley to St. Lawrence Gap and Oistins areas, during a virtual town hall meeting on Thursday, June 30, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting is being hosted by the Coastal Zone Management Unit, under the Ministry of the Environment and National Beautification, with responsibility for the Green and Blue Economy. It may be accessed by clicking here. No passcode is required.

The project is aimed at providing coastal protection, improved lateral access and upgrade beach amenities where feasible from the current Richard Haynes Boardwalk on Rockley Beach to St. Lawrence Gap, Christ Church.

This forms part of an Inter-American Development Bank funded Technical Co-operation Agreement entitled: Improving Institutional Frameworks for Integrated Coastal Zone Management, National Risk Information Planning Systems and Sustainable Climate-Resilient Coastal Infrastructure. This funding was provided with the assistance of the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

For further information on the consultancy, proposed works at the project site or assistance accessing the virtual town hall meeting, contact the CZMU via email stakeholder_feedback@coastal.gov.bb, or by telephone at 535-5700.
