The Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU) is seeking the public’s feedback on the draft Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan.
The plan consists of two volumes – Volume 1, the Barbados Policy Framework 2020 to 2030, and Volume 2, the Barbados Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan 2020 to 2030.
Persons may view the plan by visiting the CZMU’s website. Alternatively, reference copies of the plan are available for viewing at any branch of the National Library Service.
Comments on the plan may be submitted to the CZMU via the email address iczmplan@coastal.gov.bb. Printed submissions may also be sent to The Director, Coastal Zone Management Unit, 8th Floor, Warrens Tower II, Warrens, St. Michael, by close of business on Friday, June 4.
In addition, Director of the CZMU, Dr. Leo Brewster, will make a presentation of the plan and the draft order delimiting the coastal zone management area during a public enquiry.
At the enquiry, members of the public will have the opportunity to make representations on the content of the plan. A time and date for the public enquiry will be announced later.
