Teenagers who are interested in improving their dance skills are invited to join the Community Development Department’s (CDD) Breakaway Sessions which will begin this month.
Participants will be exposed to a number of topics designed to further develop dance as a means of communicating positive messages. These are: Elements of Dance: Principles of Choreography; Self Awareness; Synopsis Writing; and Costume, Lights and Sound.
This initiative aims to maximise involvement in the annual Community Dance Fest and achieve equal representation across communities. The CDD is also seeking to boost self-esteem and promote teamwork and cooperation through the sessions.
