The David Thompson Health and Social Services Complex (DTHSSC) will host a number of activities later this month to mark its second anniversary.

The celebrations will kick off on Tuesday, November 21, with a staff appreciation day at the Polyclinic, Glebe Land, St. John, starting at 9:00 a.m. Staffers will be treated to manicures, pedicures, facials and massages, as well as a luncheon, where a number of prizes will be up for grabs.

On Thursday, November 23, members of the public will gain greater insight into the range of services offered at the Polyclinic during an open day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Later that day, from 1:30 p.m.  there will be a march by students, Cadets, Cub Scouts and Brownies form the St. John Parish Church to the Polyclinic. This will be followed by the unveiling of the Polyclinic’s logo and a short programme of performances from school children in the catchment area.

On Saturday, November 25, there will be a hike beginning at the DTHSSC, from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m.  There will be a fee charged for this event.

Further information on the hike and how to sign up may be obtained by contacting Dr. Omar Edwards at 416-7001; Staff Nurse Sophia Bowen at 416-7000 ext. 7009; or Senior Health Inspector, Richard Bourne, at 416-7000 ext. 7017.
