Football fans from across the island are being encouraged to come out and support their team, as the David Thompson Memorial Football Classic 2013 continues.

This week, there will be matches on Wednesday, October 9, at the Rices playing field, St. Philip, when St. Michael North will take on St. George South at 6:00 p.m. This will be followed by St. Philip South going against St. Andrew at 8:00 p.m. Meanwhile, St. George North will tackle St. Philip West at Trents playing field, St. James, at 6:00 p.m. and St. James North will compete against St. Peter at 8:00 p.m.

On Friday, October 11, it will be St. Michael West versus St. Michael East at 6:00 p.m. and St. Joseph versus St. James Central at 8:00 p.m. at the Grantley Adams playing field, Blackman???s, St. Joseph. Also on that date, supporters can visit the Hilda Skeene playing field at 6:00 p.m. for the match between St. Michael South East and Christ Church West, and then at 8:00 p.m. for the clash between St. Philip North and St. Michael North East.

Matches for the week will conclude on Saturday, October 12, when St. Thomas will come up against St. Lucy at the Bayville playing field, St. Michael at 6:00 p.m. followed by St. Michael South against St. Philip South at 8:00 p.m.

The David Thompson Memorial Constituency Council Football Classic is a community-based national competition which is hosted by the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development.
