Young people aged 18 to 35 who have not yet submitted their entries for the National Library Service’s (NLS) Youth Speak Poetry Slam contest have a few more days left to submit them.

The deadline for submission of entries to the competition is now Thursday, April 7, and interested persons may register at the by clicking here. Please note that a Gmail account is required for sign-up.

The winning entry will receive a cash prize of $1 000, with second and third place winners awarded $600 and $400, respectively.

The competition, in celebration of the Season of Emancipation and the NLS’ 175th Anniversary, will be held in Golden Square Freedom Park, The City, on Saturday, April 16, starting at 6:00 p.m.
