The Office of Public Counsel is currently undertaking a survey to which it is inviting members of the public to respond on or before Friday, June 21.

The survey is on the Fair Trading Commission’s consultation paper on the proposed Retroactive Billing Policy for Utilities across Barbados. This policy is expected to apply to electricity, water, and telecommunication services.

As the government agency responsible for advocating on behalf of consumers in relation to these matters, the Office of Public Counsel will issue a written response to the consultation paper. The information from the survey will be used to inform the Office of Public Counsel’s response.

To access and complete the survey, persons should click here.  An official from the Office of Public Counsel has encouraged Barbadians to complete the survey, saying: “We want your opinion as this policy has the potential to affect you.”
