Young persons working in the diplomatic service and others with an interest in this field only have a few days remaining to submit their applications for the upcoming Young Diplomats Forum.

The event, slated for September 2 to 6 in Turkey, is expected to attract participants from 75 countries. It is designed to not only recognise and enhance the skill of the next level of senior diplomats, but to expand their knowledge in the field of international affairs.Applicants interested in attending the Forum must be no older than 35 years.

Two main objectives of the Forum are to assemble a task force community of young global leaders on an annual basis in different international locations, and to develop future diplomatic leaders by furthering understanding and knowledge of global trends and challenges.

Another of its objectives is to contribute to the international community, through developing recommendations and consultations on key global issues from the young leadership perspective.

During the sessions, participants will benefit from lectures on topics such as: The Future of the European Union; Diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa; International Conflict Resolution ??? Track to Diplomacy; and International Cooperation in the Global Energy Security.

Applications, accompanied by a 500-word personal statement outlining candidates??? leadership roles and future aspirations, and an up-to-date curriculum vitae, must be submitted to ydf@gdforum.org, by Monday, July 15.
