Members of the public are invited to attend a community talk session on Monster Hurricanes, Tsunamis and Earthquakes, on Saturday, July 21, at the Connell Town Pentecostal House of Prayer, Connell Town, St. Lucy, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

This forms part of the Community Talks Disaster Preparedness being hosted by The University of the West Indies (UWI), in collaboration with the Department of Emergency Management (DEM) and the St. Lucy District Emergency Organisation.

Panellists for the evening are Director of the DEM, Kerry Hinds; Disaster Risk Management Specialist, Clive Lorde; Lecturer at the Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination at The UWI, Dr. Yvonne Weekes; Architect and Director of the Gordon Ashby Architect Limited, Gordon Ashby; and Sales Representative from the Insurance Corporation of Barbados Limited, Tilia Wilkinson.

The session will be chaired by Director of The UWI Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies, Dr. Adrian Cashman.
