Chikungunya Sensitisation Efforts Continue
The Ministry of Health will continue its public awareness programme about the chikungunya virus and how it can be prevented, this Saturday, August 23, in St. Andrew.
Health officers will conduct a walk-through, in collaboration with the St. Andrew Constituency Council, in St. Simons, Isolation Road and Belleplaine, between 9:00 a.m. and noon.??Residents are asked to cooperate with the team from the Health Ministry.
Dengue And Chikungunya Presentation
The St. Philip West District Emergency Organisation will host a presentation on dengue and chikungunya, on Monday, August 25, at the Princess Margaret Secondary School, Six Roads, St. Philip, beginning at 8:00 p.m.
The facilitator for this session is Acting Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Walter Alleyne, and Principal Environmental Health Officer of the St. Philip Polyclinic, Maurice Gaskin.??All are invited.
