Camp Wellness, an initiative of the Diabetes Association of Barbados, comes off from August 6 to 17 at the Springer Memorial School, Government Hill, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The camp, which is open to children aged six to 16, aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and will include physical activity sessions, nutrition and food laboratories, and workshops on consumerism, dental hygiene, leadership, substance abuse and food safety.
There will also be a one-day hands-on tour of a farm, as well as a supermarket shopping competition.
