To mark the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development will host a public lecture and discussion entitled Ending the Violence of Extreme Poverty: Promoting Empowerment and Building Peace.

It will take place at UN House, Marine Gardens, Hastings, Christ Church, on Wednesday, October 17, from 9:30 a.m.

Featured speaker will be Jamaican Roman Catholic Priest, Monsignor Gregory Ramkissoon. A question and answer segment will follow.
