Government is joining forces with stakeholders in the occupational safety and health sector to examine the effects of poor Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) on workers and seek ways to avoid the issues which can result, in illness and absenteeism. To this end, the Labour Department, in collaboration with the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health, will host a free seminar on Wednesday, March 11, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

Entitled “Your Work and You – What Every Decision Maker should know about Indoor Air Quality”, it will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This seminar will provide decision-makers with fundamental knowledge of the factors that impact on indoor air quality and it is expected that participants will be better equipped to proactively manage any issues related to IAQ.

The seminar will include presentations by the Labour Department, the Environmental Protection Department as well as industry leaders in ventilation systems design and Indoor Air Quality surveillance.
