In commemoration of World Food Day, October 16, two local charities will be presented with produce by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The charities, the Street Lamp Ministries and The Barbados Alliance to End Homelessness, will receive the donation of local produce on Friday, October 15, in the Conference Room of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Graeme Hall, Christ Church, at 11:30 a.m.

The presentations will be made by Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Indar Weir, and Sub-Regional Coordinator for the FAO, Dr. Renata Clarke, who will both deliver remarks.

World Food Day 2021 is being commemorated under the theme: “Our actions are our future – Better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life”.
