Minister of Economic Affairs, Empowerment, Innovation, Trade, Industry and Commerce, Dr. David Estwick, will tour the island’s rum producing plants to get a better insight into their operations.
The touring party, which will include officials from the Division of Trade, Industry and Commerce, the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation, the Barbados Manufacturers Association and other stakeholders, takes place this Wednesday, April 14.
The delegation will leave the Division of Trade’s Reef Road, St. Michael offices at 9:30 a.m. and will travel to the Four Square Rum Distillery, Four Square, St. Philip; the Mount Gay Rum Distillery, Mount Gay, St. Lucy; and the West Indies Rum Distillery, Brighton, St. Michael.?? There will be a press conference at the Mount Gay Visitor’s Centre on Spring Garden after the tour.??
