The Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC), in collaboration with the Barbados Museum and Historical Society (BMHS), will be hosting a lecture on pottery next week.

Senior Scholar with the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, Dr. Jerome Handler, will deliver the lecture under the theme: The Chalky Mount Potteries: A Unique Barbadian Craft Industry, on Tuesday, April 27, at the BMHS, St. Ann’s Garrison, St. Michael, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Professor Handler, an anthropologist, who will trace the historical development of pottery in Chalky Mount, St. Andrew, has been conducting research on Barbadian history and culture for close to five decades.
