The Earl and Countess of Wessex completed the last leg of their two-day State Visit, with a tour of the Prince Cave Hall.

Greeted by Attorney-General and Minister of Home Affairs, Adriel Brathwaite, Commissioner of Police, Darwin Dottin and coordinating Minister of the visit, Esther Byer-Suckoo, Their Royal Highnesses were escorted to the Performance Hall where they were welcomed by school children of St. Cyprians Boys’ and Hindsbury Primary School, among others and entertained by The Royal Barbados Police Force Band led by Director of Music, Dr. Christopher Atherley who performed Slavonic Rhapsody No.2 by Carl Freidman.

At the end of the interlude of music, the Royal Party interacted with band members and students.

They also visited the Library and the Repair Room where they saw a demonstration of repairs to instruments.

The Earl and Countess leave the island this evening and will visit Grenada, Montserrat, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda and St. Kitts and Nevis, as part of celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.??
