Government offices located in the Treasury Building and the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development will be closed at 2:30 p.m., tomorrow, Friday, June 1.
The closure is to facilitate the staging of the installation ceremony of Sir Elliot Belgrave, GCMG., KA, as Governor General of Barbados.
However, all Government offices and schools will close at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 4, so that persons may witness the Beacon Lighting Ceremony at the Garrison Savannah. The ceremony is being held to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Normal business hours will resume on June 5.
Both events will be carried live on CBC Channel 8.
