Members of the public are invited to attend two free movie nights hosted by the Technical Standing Committee on Coastal Hazards in celebration of Tsunami and Earthquake Smart Month.

The first movie night, Movies Under the Sky, will be held at the Dover Playing Field, Dover, Christ Church, on Saturday, March 14, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

During this event, officials from the Ministry of Tourism will also highlight the potential impact such an event could have on the island???s tourism product.

The following weekend, Saturday, March 21, awareness efforts will move to the north of the island, when the Moonlight Movie Night comes off at the Trent???s Playing Field, Holetown, St. James, from 7:00 p.m.

During this event, members of the public will also learn what precautions they should take to protect their homes against possible surges in electricity before, during and after an earthquake or tsunami.

Persons are encouraged to walk with blankets and chairs to enjoy these events. Questions and queries about hazards will also be addressed during both sessions.
