The Economic Affairs Division of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs will be hosting a one-day seminar to thrash out a range of social and economic issues.

The discussion, under the theme Managing Current Challenges While Pursuing Growth, takes place on?? Friday, September 28, in the Amphitheatre, 1st Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

During the day’s proceedings, participants will hear presentations from a number of technocrats, who will speak on topics such as Is Sustained Economic Growth in SIDS Achievable in a Negative Climate Change Scenario?; An Aid Growth Relationship: The Case of Barbados; The EU Barbados Programme: Successes, Challenges and the Way Forward; The UN Barbados Programme: Successes Challenges and the Way Forward Under the UN Development Assistance Framework; Exploring the Movement of Food Prices in Barbados 2009-2011, and Forecasting Inflation in Barbados.

Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Christopher Sinckler, will give the opening remarks.
