The Economic Affairs Division of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs will host a one-day seminar next week to thrash out a range of social and economic issues.

The discussion, under the theme: Recovery, Growth and Development, takes place on Friday, September 30, in the Amphitheatre, 1st Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

During the day’s proceedings, participants will hear presentations from a number of technocrats, who will speak on topics such as: Supermarket Pricing Behaviour in Times of Crisis, Measuring the Tax Effort in a Small Open Economy; Feasibility of Condominiums as a means of Accommodation to the Barbados Tourism Industry and its Contribution to the Development of the Barbados Economy; and The Importance of Trade Adjustment Support to the Caribbean Rum Industry.

Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Senator Jepter Ince, will give the opening remarks.
