The Economic Affairs Division of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Empowerment, Innovation, Trade, Industry and Commerce will be hosting a special lecture/seminar series on the current global crisis.

The event, under the theme "Mitigating the Impact of the Global Economic Crisis," takes place tomorrow, Friday, October 9, at the Savannah Hotel, Hastings Christ Church, from at 8:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m.

Featured speakers for the event are: Lisa Drakes, of the Central Bank of Barbados; Kimberly Waithe of the Division of Economic Affairs; Joseph Peltier of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); Dr. Winston Moore and Troy Lorde, of the Department of Economics, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Campus.
