Today???s sitting of the Barbados Secondary Schools??? Entrance Examination (BSSEE) has been described as smooth and uneventful by the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation.

Over 3,500 students wrote the examination at 21 public secondary schools, instead of 22, following the closure of Combermere School, as a result of environmental issues.

???We didn???t have any challenges at any of the centres. At the five centres I visited, the exam was progressing well,??? said Acting Chief Education Officer, Karen Best, who also noted she was generally pleased at the outcome of the day???s exam and the conduct of parents at all examination centres.

Mrs. Best toured The Alleyne School, St. Andrew; Lester Vaughan School, St. Thomas; and the St. Leonard???s Boys???, Ellerslie and Springer Memorial Secondary Schools in St. Michael.
