The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Immunisation Unit has not authorised a WhatsApp chat where persons can send information to receive their electronic vaccination certificates.

Co-coordinator of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, Major David Clarke, said that instead, the Unit had set up an email address,, where people who needed the certificates to travel could send their requests.

He added that the Unit would ensure that everyone who was fully vaccinated received their e-certificates. However, he asked persons to be patient since there were over 70,000 people who had to be issued with the new certificates, which carry a barcode and security seal.

Major Clarke also cautioned persons about forwarding their personal information to chats or numbers that were not sanctioned by the Ministry.
