Barbadians will have the opportunity to learn more about the Barbados Employment and Career Counselling Service (BECCS) next week.

This is when the department, formerly known as the National Employment Bureau, continues its series of community outreach activities, started earlier this year to sensitize the public about its role/function and various programmes on offer.

The outreach continues at Weston Community Centre, Weston, St. James, on Friday, November 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The next outreach programme is scheduled for the Speightstown Resource Centre in St. Peter on Wednesday, November 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

A number of services will be available to patrons on these days.  Among them are vocational counselling in career guidance, CV writing and interview techniques.

Persons will also be given the opportunity to register for local and overseas employment, and are asked to bring their Barbados Identification Card in order to access the services.

For further information, persons may contact Khama Salankey-Burke via email at ksalankey@labour.gov.bb, or by telephone at 535-1545. They may also email Leandra Gall at lgall@labour.gov.bb, or telephone 535-1550.
