Members of the public are reminded that there will be a number of traffic changes in effect for World Environment Day, celebrated on Thursday, June 5.

The junction at Jemmotts Lane and Bay Street, St. Michael, will be closed between 8:00 and 11:15 a.m.

Traffic heading into Bridgetown will be diverted from Hastings, Christ Church, to the Garrison. In addition, High Street and Rickett Street, The City, will be closed.

These road closures are to facilitate Barbados??? hosting of a global cultural event in The City on that day.??

Parking will be provided for Ministers and members of the Diplomatic Corps on the grounds of Parliament, while invited guests will use Queen???s Park or the Barbados Tourism Investment Incorporated???s car park. A shuttle service will be provided from Queen???s Park.

Motorists are asked to comply with the uniformed personnel from the Royal Barbados Police Force.??Any inconvenience these traffic changes may cause is regretted.
