The Ministry of the Environment and Drainage will host a stakeholder dialogue on Barbados’ Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), on Friday, June 3, at the Savannah Hotel, Hastings, Christ Church, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Minister Dr. Denis Lowe is expected to deliver remarks, while Environment Education Officer, Donna King-Brathwaite, will welcome participants.
The stakeholder dialogue is being held to reacquaint stakeholders with the contents of Barbados’s NDCs to the UNFCCC; to present and discuss the outcome of the 21st UNFCCC Conference of the Parties and its national implications with respect to the NDC; and to begin dialogue on the preparation of an implementation plan.
