World Environment Day 2010 will be commemorated on Saturday, June 5.
In an effort to celebrate the occasion, the Environmental Health Department of the Ministry of Health will hold a health exposition on Friday, June 4, in Independence Square, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Under the theme "Healthy Environment, Healthy You", the fair will focus attention on waste management including recycling, composting and reuse; vector control and air quality.?? It will also feature a model house showing areas of concern; cleaning and sanitising with the use of green products and food hygiene.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Ronald Fitt and Chief Ennvironmental Health Officer, Tyrone Applewhaite, will deliver addresses at the opening of the Exposition.
Members of the public are invited to attend.
