Eight primary schools are into the finals of the Environmental Health Quiz being hosted by the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health, in association with the Black Rock, Winston Scott and Randal Phillips Polyclinics.

They are Rock Christian, Wesley Hall Juniors, Lawrence T. Gay Primary, Al Falah, South District, People’s Cathedral, Christ Church Girls’ and St. Christopher Primary.

The finals will come off next Tuesday, December 15, at 10:00 a.m., at the Lester Vaughan School, Cane Garden, St. Thomas, instead of this Friday, December 11, due to Speech Day at that institution.

Following the finals, there will be the presentation of awards and students from all 28 schools, which participated in the competition, will receive a trophy and a prize. Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Joy St. John will deliver remarks and make presentations to the children.

The winning school will also receive a computer, printer and a savings account from the Barbados National Bank, while the runners-up will be given a savings account.??
