Police officers from stations in the catchment area of the St. Philip Polyclinic will attend a half-day workshop on mosquito and rodent control on Friday, August 28 at the polyclinic, Six Cross Roads, St. Philip.

Environmental health officers attached to the polyclinic will lead sessions which will cover diseases such as chikungunya, dengue fever, malaria, leptospirosis, Hanta virus and rat bite fever.

There will also be a practical component which will include the opportunity to observe mosquito eggs, larvae, pupae, rodent bait, the fogging machine and the black lamp.

Police officers from stations at the Airport, Oistins, District B and District C will attend and certificates of participation will be awarded.
