The Eunice Gibson Polyclinic will host a Health and Wellness Week from Monday, November 20, to Friday, November 24, at its Warrens, St. Michael base.

The public is invited to participate in all the activities which begin with a flag hoisting and opening ceremony at 9:00 a.m. Performers at the opening will include Windsor High School students and the Haynesville Drama Group.

On Tuesday, there will be lectures on food safety and air pollution in the waiting area of the polyclinic, starting at 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, representatives of the Diabetes Foundation will visit the polyclinic at 9:30 a.m. to speak about issues related to diabetes, and a representative of Brydens/Stokes will also be on hand to discuss the care and correct use of glucometers.

Depression will be the topic of a lecture on Thursday in the waiting area of the polyclinic at 9:30 a.m.

Friday is Open Day, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the polyclinic.  There will be healthy living displays mounted by Soil Conservation and the Sustainable Barbados Recycling Centre, and fruit trees will be on sale.
