The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Maxine McClean, is asking Barbadians evacuated from countries affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria to contact the Ministry, urgently.

The Ministry is seeking to gather information to further facilitate the evacuation of Barbadians who are still stranded in the following hurricane affected areas – Anguilla, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos, Puerto Rico, St. Martin/ St. Maarten and Dominica.

Barbadians, who recently returned on humanitarian flights, commercial aircraft, or military coast guard vessels from the above-mentioned countries, are therefore asked to contact the Ministry with information pertaining to the date and method of their return to Barbados.

These persons should send their names and the above details to ncox@foreign.gov.bb and apadmore@foreign.gov.bb.

This information will ensure that the Ministry has a complete record of persons who have been evacuated, and to match the names of persons already listed in the database to determine the number of persons still in need of evacuation.
