Primary and Secondary school students will have an opportunity to use their creativity and share their views on environmental awareness in this year’s Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Foundation Children’s Environmental Poster Contest.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, the competition features a Junior Division for children ages 12 years and under, who should not have had their 13th birthday by May 30, and a Senior Division for children ages 13 to 16, who also should not have reached their 17th birthday on that date.

Each participant must submit a poster, which may include words, to depict an environmental awareness related topic of his or her choice. It should highlight at least three ways in which the entrant’s destination could make a difference in preserving the environment.

A title and summary description in English must accompany the poster, and submissions should be made on standard sized (22"by 28") Bristol board.

Successful entries will be awarded FCCA cash scholarships.?? In the Junior and Senior divisions, both the first, second and third prize winners and their schools will be awarded US$3,000, US$1,500 and US$1,000, respectively.

First place winners from each category and their respective classes will also attend an exclusive event, which will be hosted by the Ministry of Tourism. In addition, all other finalists will receive US$200.
