From next Monday, August 10, security gates and fencing around the Treasury Building in Bridgetown will be erected.

The work, which will be executed by Innotech Services Limited on behalf of Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTI), is expected to last for three months. This will result in the closure of the road between the Treasury Building and the fountain (Drax Hall Street) to accommodate boarding up of the site.

The public should note that business at the Treasury Building will not be disrupted, however, the entrance on Bridge Street will be closed. All other entrances will be accessible to the public.????????

The BTI and the contractor apologise for any inconvenience which may be caused, and ask that the public exercise due care and attention when travelling along this area. Pedestrians are also urged to use the walkways which will be provided for them to ensure their safety is maintained at all times.

The public is also advised to follow all directional signage, and cooperate with the contractor’s personnel and/or police officers who may be directing the flow of traffic.
