In a continuing effort to showcase the art and craft of individuals in communities across the island, the Ministry of Tourism, through its Community Tourism Programme, will host its Fifth Bajan Pride Exposition on the Dover Pasture in Christ Church, on Saturday, March 13.

The event, which starts at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 6:00 p.m., will feature a number of craft and food vendors.

The purpose of the exposition is to provide artists and craft persons with a forum to display and sell their products to visitors and locals alike. These will include, among others, jewellery, basketry, woodcraft, leather, and paintings. In addition, there will be an entertainment package for the whole family and visitors are encouraged to view the?? demonstrations on how local craft is made.

It will also depict aspects of Barbadian culture, such as the coconut and sno-cone vendors, the nut seller and local confectionery.

Residents in Christ Church and St. Philip, who have an interest in displaying products at the Fifth Bajan Pride Exposition, are urged to register with the Ministry of Tourism by 4:00 p.m., this Friday, March 5. They may do so by contacting Sarah Greenidge at 430-7500.??jgill@barbados.gov.bb
