Persons, schools or organisations seeking to screen films, either at a paid or free event, must first make an application to the Film Censorship Board to have those films censored.

This is in accordance with the Films Act 1993 CAP. 299. Failure to comply is in contravention of the Act.

The Film Censorship Board, which falls under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, is responsible for approving, prohibiting and regulating the exhibition and distribution of films in Barbados.

Applications should be submitted to the Film Censorship Board, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St. Michael.

Persons wishing further information on film censorship may contact the Secretary of the Board at 621-2700.??
