The Financial Literacy Bureau (FLB) will host two virtual clinics this week to share information on the role of insurance and how to save and invest in these times.

Insurance professional with Pan American Life Insurance, Kelly-Ann Phillips, will discuss: Insurance: Protection, Investment, Safety Net, on Tuesday, July 26, while Managing Director of Astrape Finance and Financial Planning Consultant, Melinda Peter, will present Saving & Investing on a Limited Income, on Thursday, July 28. The clinics begin at 6:00 p.m.

During the discussion on insurance, Ms. Phillips will address how insurance can protect assets and lives, act as an investment with future returns, and provide a safety net in emergencies, among other things. Persons interested in participating in this session should register by clicking here.

At Thursday’s clinic, participants will learn how they can commence saving or save more regardless of their level of income, make investments and how they and their families can actively save and invest for their future. To participate, persons should register by clicking here.

Members of the public may also follow the discussions on Facebook and Instagram at FLB.246. For more information on the clinics, persons may call the Ministry of Energy and Business at 535-7700, or email flb.246@barbados.gov.bb.
