Some Fire Officers will be going back to the classroom during the month of September in an effort to increase their knowledge in various areas.
From tomorrow, Thursday, September 1, beginning at 9:30 a.m. officers will learn the rudiments of Strategic Planning and Measuring, Finance, as well as Safety and Health, as part of the Barbados Fire Service’s 56th Anniversary week of activities.?? One of the events for the week is the Fire Officers’ Professional Day, which will be hosted by the Barbados Fire Service Association on September 28.??
Preceding this event the department will be conducting three half-day seminars, the other two on September 8 and 22, at the National Housing Corporation’s Building Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.
