The public is invited to support local farmers at the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation???s first Southern Farmers??? Market for the year.

It will take place at the Fairy Valley Plantation House, next to the DHL Building, Christ Church, on Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. both days.

There will be great prices on a variety of local fresh vegetables, herbs, fruit, turkey wings and necks, beef, minced meat, and much more.

Carmeta???s products, including beef and lamb burgers and sausages, cassava chunks and grated cassava, as well as sweet potato and breadfruit flours, cassava pancake mix and cassava cornbread mix, will be on sale.

Persons will have the opportunity to purchase fresh eggs, local agro-processed products like jams, soaps, wines, sauces and marinates, along with local craft, jewellery, plants and flowers.

In addition, patrons will receive blood pressure, blood sugar and Body Mass Index checks by Pharma Wellness International, and the Ministry of Agriculture will host a plant clinic.
