This week fisherfolk at Oistins Fishing Complex in Christ Church will be holding a number of events as part of celebrations to mark Fisherman’s Day, which will be observed on Tuesday, June 29.
Among the activities planned, will be a ???soak down’, and a treasure hunt, which will take place tomorrow, Thursday, June 24, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Berinda Cox Fish Market.
On Sunday, June 27, interested persons can participate in fish-atha-lon and fun day, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Fish Market.
That same afternoon, members of the fishing community will assemble at Dover Pavilion, from 4:00 p.m. for a cricket match.
The proceedings will culminate on Tuesday, June 29 – Fisherman’s Day, with a Customer Appreciation Day and Float Parade.
The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. from Harvest Mart Complex and end in the car park of the Berinda Cox Fish Market.
