Fitness enthusiasts, revellers and Barbadians in general, will over the next three weekends, have the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of maintaining a healthy environment and lifestyle, as well as to begin their fitness preparation for Kadooment.

The opportunity will come?? this Sunday, June 14, ??next Sunday, June 21, and the following Sunday, June 28, as the Ministry of the Environment joins forces with HOTT FM radio to stage a series of?? ???HOTT FM Summer Burn’ Health Fairs, at Brandon’s Beach in St. Michael.

The fun-filled and educational initiative, which will come off between 2:30 and 6:30 p.m. each Sunday, seeks generally to raise awareness and promote year-round fitness, and in the short-term, to assist in preparing prospective revellers for their Spring Garden trek.

The Health extravaganzas will see a number of fitness experts on stage, taking patrons through their exercise routines. Booths promoting healthy lifestyles, as well as highlighting environmental issues and the various departments within the Ministry, will also be on hand.

Persons are being urged to bring out the entire family to participate in the innovative and free event, which is among the activities to mark this year’s Environment Month, under the theme: ???Living Sustainably…Achieving a Green Economy.??
