The Vector Control Unit will take the fight against the Aedes aegypti mosquito into five parishes next week.

The first ???round??? will take place in St. Joseph on Monday, November 11, when the team targets Andrew???s Tenantry, Braggs Hill, Branchbury, Lammings, Airy Hill Tenantry, Mayers Corner, Sugar Hill, Coward Road, Bloomsbury and the environs for fogging.

On Tuesday, November 12, they will venture into St. Michael and St. George where they will fog Mount Friendship, Lower Burney, Mapp Hill, Cutting Road, Dash Valley, Monroe Road, Sinckler Road, Cosy Corner, Birds River, Haggatt Hall and the surrounding areas.

Members of the Unit will then visit St. James on Wednesday, November 13, but will return to St. Michael on that same day. The following areas have been earmarked for fogging: Clover Crescent, Prior Park Crescent, Crystal Heights, Clermont, Clerview Heights, Husbands New Development, Airlie Tenantry, Reservoir Road, Warrens Crescent, Warrens Park North, Welches Grove and neighbouring districts.

St. Michael and Christ Church will be next in line on Thursday, November 14, when the Unit tackles Dalkeith, Brittons New Road, Rollins Road, Taitt Road, Bonnetts, Club Morgan (with Avenues), Fordes Road, Simmons Road, Rendezvous Ridge and the environs.

Fogging for the week will culminate in on Friday, November 15, in when the team revisits St. Michael to target the following districts: Brandons, Pile Bay, Exmouth Gap, Holders Land, Birds River, Deacons Road, Deacons Farm, Fernihurst, Black Rock Main Road, Ashdeane Village, Brighton and the surrounding areas.

The Ministry of Health???s fogging programme runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. each day. Persons with respiratory ailments are reminded that they should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while children should desist from running behind the fogging vehicle.
