As efforts continue to rid the island of the aedes egypti mosquito, the Ministry of Health will conduct its fogging programme in the parishes of St James, St. Peter and Christ Church from Tuesday, August 7 to Friday, August 10, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.

On Tuesday, August 7, fogging will take place in the St. James districts of

Carlton, Carlton Development, Weston, Bairds Road, Crick Hill, Mount Standfast Gardens, The Garden,?? Store House Gap, Fox Club Gap, Husbands Road, Doughlin’s Gap and the environs.

The following day, Wednesday, August 8, the team from the Vector Control Unit will visit the St. Peter districts of The Whim, Mile & A Quarter, Ashton Hall, Clarke’s Road, Millionaire Road, Reservoir Road, Corbin’s Road, Major Walk, Around the Town, Farm Road, Rectory Hill, Battaleys and the surrounding areas.

Fogging will return to St. James on Thursday, August 9, and the districts to be fogged include Hoytes Village, Hoytes Terrace, Holder’s Hill and John’s Plains.

On Friday, August 10, fogging will culminate in the Christ Church districts of Deighton Road, Gooding Road, Dayrell’s?? Road, Brathwaite Gap, Lynch Road, Gill’s Road, Goodridge Road, 1st Avenue Dayrel’s Road, Overdeane Gardens, Rockley New Road with Avenues, Vetnor Gardens, Golf Club Road and the environs.

Householders are asked to assist in the elimination of the aedes aegypti mosquito by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate, while persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog.

Pedestrians and motorists are advised to proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street, and parents are also advised to prevent their children from playing in the fog or from running behind the fogging machine.
