As part of its ongoing efforts to reduce the presence of the deadly aedes aegypti mosquito, the Ministry of Health’s Vector Control Unit will fog a number of districts in Christ Church and St. Michael next week.
On Monday, January 30, the team will be in Christ Church, where Golf Club Road, Dayrells Road, Worthing, Worthing View, Rockley Terrace, Rose Garden # 1 and #2, Blue Water A and B, Rockley, Peronne Gap, Dover Gardens, Rockley New Road, Ventnor Gardens with Avenues and the surrounding areas will be fogged.
The next day, Tuesday, January 31, a number of districts in St. Michael will be visited including Waterford Housing Area, Bush Hall Main Road, Savannah Road, Park Road with Avenues, Mansion Road, Hill Road, Barracks Road, Powder Road, Bank Hall Main Road, Hindsbury Road, Station Hill with Avenues, Happy Cot, Buckingham Road, King George Road, King Edward Road, Queen Mary Road and Queen Victoria Road.
Fogging continues in St. Michael on Wednesday, February 1.?? This time Grazettes, Grazettes Housing Area, Grazettes Landing Scheme, Long Gap, Piedmont Park, Spooners Hill, Thompson Gap, White Hall Main Road, Bridge Gap, St. Stephen’s Hill, Cave Hill Housing Area, Philip Land, Grazettes New Road and the surrounding areas will be targeted.
On Thursday, February 2, the team will remain in St. Michael where Capri Drive, Wavell Avenue, with all gaps on the left, Black Rock Main Road, Brownes Gap, Belfield Land, Seclusion Gardens, 1st and 2nd Avenues Fairfield, Hurley Land, Scotts Terrace, 1st 2nd and 3rd Avenues in Grazettes and the adjacent districts will be fogged.
Fogging culminates in St. Michael on Friday, February 3, with Barbarees Hill, Brewster Road, Richmond Gap, President Kennedy Drive, Westbury Road, St. Leonards Avenue, Fontabelle, Kensington New Road, Lakes Folly, Chapman Lane, Emmerton Lane, Reed Street, Mason Hall Street, Baxters Road, Spencers Gap, Wharton Gap, Marshall Gap with all Avenues and the surrounding districts???? being targeted.
Fogging will begin at 4:30 and end at 7:30 p.m. each day, and householders are asked to assist in the elimination of the deadly Aedes Aegypti mosquito by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate.
Persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while pedestrians and motorists must proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street.
Parents are advised to prohibit their children from playing in the fog or running behind the fogging machine.
