The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will fog a number of areas across the island next week.

On Monday, October 15, fogging will take place in the St. Lucy districts of River Bay, Hope Road, North Thumberland, Connell Town, Coconut Hall, Bishops, Chance Hall, Lowlands, Rockfield, Pie Corner, Little Bay and the environs.?? The following day, Tuesday, October 16, the team will spray Atlantic Shores, Enterprise Coast Road, Browne’s Land, Enterprise Gardens, Rollins Road and Goodland Gardens, in Christ Church.

Bourne’s Village, Locust Hall, Paradise Village, Applewaites Tenantry, Belair #1 and #2, Market Hill, Smith Land, Jericho, Roach Village, St. Augustine and the surrounding areas in St. George, will be sprayed on Wednesday, October 17.

Then, on Thursday, October 18, the St. George and St. John neighbourhoods of

Redlands Tenantry, Sweet Vale, Golden Ridge, Lemon Arbor, Four Roads, Knights Village, Henley Tenantry and Cherry Grove will be fogged.

Fogging for the week will culminate in St. Michael on Friday, October 19, with Roebuck Street, Perry Gap, Hindsbury Road, Harmony Hall, Greenidge Road, Hamlet Road, Brathwaite Road, School Road, Dr. Kerr Land, Prescod Bottom, Headley Land, Taylor Land, Advent Avenue, Skeetes Road, Holligan Road, Progressive Road, Pavilion Road, Downey Gap, Garden Land, Laundry Road, Tamarind Road, Country Road, Bank Hall + Road and Bank Hall Main Road, will be sprayed.????

Fogging will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day and pedestrians and motorists should proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street.?? Parents are advised to prevent their children from playing in the fog or from running behind the fogging machine.??

Persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog and householders are urged to help in the elimination of the aedes aegypti mosquito by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to circulate.??
