The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will fog several areas next week, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.
On Monday, October 8, fogging will take place in the St. Peter districts of Station Hill, Douglas Development, Ashton Hall, Mile-and-a-Quarter, Maynards Landing Scheme, Maynards Development, Retreat and the surrounding districts.
The following neighbourhoods and their environs in Christ Church and St. Michael will be sprayed on Tuesday, October 9:?? Upper Rendezvous, Fordes Road, 1st & 2nd Ave Fordes Road, Clapham Road, Clapham Heights, Clapham Park, Clapham Close, Mount Clapham, Observatory Road, Adams Road, Laynes Road, Gas Products Gap, Wildey Road, Flagstaff Road, Upper and Lower Ifill Road and Upper and Lower Streats Road.
Then on Wednesday, October 10, the Unit will remain in those parishes to fog Rendezvous Ridge, Club Morgan, Simmons Land, Rendezvous Road, Fordes Road, Rendezvous Terrace, Plantain Walk, Clapham Path, Bonnetts Housing Area, Brittons New Road, Reservoir Road, Gunsite Road, Taitt Road, Rollins Road and the nearby areas.
On Thursday, October 11, fogging operations will move to Walmer Lodge, Black Rock Main Road, Brighton, Free Hill with all avenues, Stanmore Crescent, St. Stephens Hill, Goddards Road, Golden Acre, Cave Hill, Dover Crescent, and University Drive – all?? in St. Michael.??
Fogging for the week will culminate in St. Thomas, when Hopewell Tenantry, Ashford, Lion Castle, Welchman Hall, Welchman Hall #1 & #2, Vault Road, Carrington Village, Sturges, Harrisons, Cave Road, Bryan Road, Allen View and the surrounding districts will be visited by the vector team.
Householders should open windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate, while persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog.?? Pedestrians and motorists should proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street, and parents should prevent their children from playing in the fog or from running behind the fogging machine.
