The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will fog a number of neighbourhoods in Christ Church and St. James, next week.

On Monday, March 11, fogging will take place in Woodbourne, Woodbourne Tenantry, St. Patrick’s, Bright Hill, Waldron Village, Lowthers, Fairview, Leadvale, Lowlands Park and the environs.?? The following day, Tuesday, March 12, the team will spray Atlantic Shores, Enterprise Coast Road, Bourne’s Land, Enterprise Gardens, Rollins Road and Goodland Gardens, also in Christ Church.

In that same parish, Lands Down, St. Christopher, Enterprise Gardens, Sea Breeze Drive, Atlantic Shores, Smith Corner, Sayes Court, Sayes Court Housing Area, Upper Brownes Land and Silver Sands, will be sprayed on Wednesday, March 13.

Then, on Thursday, March 14, Hoyte’s Village, Haynesville Housing Area, Thorpes, Durant’s Village, Holders Hill and Waterman’s Village in St. James will be treated.

Fogging for the week will culminate in that same parish on Friday, March 15 with Paynes Bay, Chapel Gap #1 and #2, Clarkes Gap, Clarkes Gap #1 and #2, Derricks, Appleby Gardens, Vaughn Road, Lashley’s Road, Berbice, Risk Road, Piggott Road, Jordan’s Road, Johnson Road and the surrounding areas being fogged.????

Fogging will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day and pedestrians and motorists should proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street.?? Parents are advised to prevent their children from playing in the fog or from running behind the fogging machine and persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog.??

Householders are, however, urged to help in the elimination of the aedes aegypti mosquito by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to circulate.??
