There will be fogging in two parishes next week, when the Ministry of Health continues its weekly evening fogging programme to rid Barbados of the aedes aegypti mosquito.

On Monday, November 28, a team from the Vector Control unit will visit the Christ Church districts of Parish Land, Fairvalley Rocks, Thyme Bottom and the environs.

The team will continue in Christ Church on Tuesday, November 29.?? The areas of Golf Club Road, Dayrells Road, Worthing, Worthing View, Rockley Terrace, Rose Garden #1 & 2, Blue Water A & B, Peronne Gap, Dover Gardens, Rockley New Road, Ventnor Gardens and the environs will be fogged.

Fogging will continue, after the Public Holiday, on Thursday, December 1, ??in St. Michael. These are:?? White Hall Main Road, Spooners Hill, Thompson Gap, Cave Hill, Bridge Gap, Cave Hill Housing Area, Phillips Road, Grazettes New Road, Grazettes Industrial Park and the surrounding districts.

St. Michael will be visited again on Friday, December 2. Two Mile Hill, Morningside, Embassy Gardens, Haggat Hall 1& 2, Haggat Hall Main Road, Bird Hill, Cosy Corner, Barkers Tenantry Road, Neils Tenantry, Rouen 1&2, Belle Gully, Howells Cross Road, Ivy, Storey Gap, Tichbourne and the surrounding areas will be fogged.

The fogging exercise runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m., and householders are asked to assist by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate.

Persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while pedestrians and motorists are encouraged to proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street.

Parents are also advised to prohibit children from playing in the fog or running behind the fogging machine.
